Glass knit

2019 Design Research

A series of blown glass objects exploring the use of knitted textiles as flexible moulds in the glass blowing process.
The density, material, and shape of the knits are used to control the shape and texture of the glass. The architecture of the knit is subtly imprinted on the surface of the glass objects and displays beautiful caustics.
